Army Secretary Dan Driscoll has dropped a former Biden administration official from a leadership slot at West Point.
Driscoll posted on Wednesday that he was rescinding Jen Easterly's offer to serve as the Robert F. McDermott Chair.
The position leads the Department of Social Services at the U.S. Military Academy. Easterly was set to move into that slot until Driscoll announced he was blocking her position.
It appears that conservative activist Laura Loomer may have had something to do with the action.
Loomer posted Tuesday evening and copied to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth: "Wow @PeteHegseth! Looks like some of your underlings are trying to screw you. There are clearly a lot of Biden holdovers at DOD undermining the Trump admin."
Easterly managed the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency during the Biden administration and is a 1990 West Point graduate.
Loomer said that this was not a positive.
"Jen was the Director of CISA under Joe Biden where she brought in Biden's notorious disinformation czar Nina Jankowicz, who served as the Executive Director of the Disinformation Governance Board of the United States. Why are Biden holdovers who worked to silence Trump supporters under Biden getting elevated to high level jobs under the Trump admin?"
She added: "There are some serious moles over at DOD. The vetting crisis is getting much worse."
Driscoll's post indicated he was uncomfortable with hiring practices at the academy and said he had asked "the Chair of the West Point Board of Visitors to conduct a full review of the Academy's hiring practices."
Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell posted in response to the secretary's announcement: "We're not turning cadets into censorship activists. We're turning them into warriors & leaders. We're in the business of warfighting."
