Alexander Vindman's Wife: Biden Didn't Offer My Husband a Pardon

Trump impeachment whistle-blower and retired Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman was not offered a pardon by President Joe Biden even though he was on an enemies list, his wife, Rachel Vindman, said Monday.

"Whatever happens to my family, know this: No pardons were offered or discussed. I cannot begin to describe the level of betrayal and hurt I feel," Rachel Vindman said in post on the social media platform Threads.

A commentator asked Rachel why her husband didn't request a pardon, to which she responded: "Where did you hear Alex didn’t request a pardon? Do you know me? Also, there is wide reporting many who received pardons were surprised and didn’t request them."

When asked if her husband engaged in illegal activity that would require a pardon, she said, "Neither did anyone else who was pardoned."

Alexander Vindman raised concerns about Trump’s 2019 call to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in which Trump sought an investigation of Biden and his son, Hunter.

Alex Vindman was listening on the call in his role as a National Security Council official assigned to the White House when he became alarmed at what he heard. He approached his brother, Eugene, who at the time was serving as an ethics lawyer at the NSC. Both Vindmans reported their concerns to superiors, ultimately contributing to Trump’s impeachment.

Tech billionaire and Trump ally Elon Musk in November suggested that Alexander Vindman "committed treason" and "will pay."

"Vindman is on the payroll of Ukrainian oligarchs and has committed treason against the United States," Musk said on the social media platform X, in response to Vindman making comments in an interview on Musk’s reported talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
