Dems' Website Gives Dire Warning on Trump Budget

By    |   Thursday, 28 August 2025 01:39 PM EDT

Senate Democrats' campaign arm launched a website designed to show consumers what their budget will look like in one year after the implementation of President Donald Trump's massive tax cut bill, reported Axios.

The site, GOPBudgetBuster.com, lets users calculate expected costs for health insurance, car insurance, electricity, and food under the One Big Beautiful Bill.

At the bottom of the page, it reads: "Under Trump and the GOP Senate Majority, Americans are seeing costs go up higher and higher — all to pay for tax cuts for billionaires and corporations."

The site also has links to articles about expected rising health care costs – according to KFF, monthly out-of-pocket costs are expected to jump as much as 75% for 2026 because of the disappearance of federal subsidies and higher rates from insurers.

"Republican Senate candidates have made life more expensive for families by supporting policies that have spiked health care costs, car insurance, electric bills, and groceries," Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Maeve Coyle said in a statement to Axios.
