President-elect Donald Trump announced via his Truth Social platform on Saturday that David Fotouhi would serve "as Deputy Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency."
"David," Trump wrote, "worked at the EPA for the entirety of my First Term, concluding his service as EPA's Acting General Counsel. He is currently a Partner at Gibson, Dunn, & Crutcher LLP. In our Second Term, David will work with our incredible EPA Administrator, Lee Zeldin, to advance pro Growth policies, unleash America's Energy Dominance, and prioritize Clean Air, Clean Water, and Clean Soil for ALL Americans."
