Trump Backs AG Bondi, Blasts Democrats, Rep. Massie

By    |   Thursday, 12 February 2026 01:08 PM EST

President Donald Trump on Thursday praised Attorney General Pam Bondi for her performance at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on late financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, while using the post to attack Democrats and Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky.

In his Truth Social post, Trump said Bondi was "fantastic" despite what he called pressure from "the Trump Deranged Radical Left Lunatics," and claimed the hearing showed he has been "100% exonerated" from "Russia, Russia, Russia type charges."

Trump also accused Democrats of wrongdoing, calling them "SLIMEBALL Democrats" and saying "many of them big Donors and Politicians" have been "proven GUILTY," without providing details in the post.

Under questioning, Bondi blasted Democrats during Wednesday's hearing.

"You sit here, and you attack the president, and I'm not going to have it," Bondi said, as she launched into a forceful defense of the Trump administration and rebuked criticism over the Epstein file release.

She also repeatedly derided Democratic questioners for pressing the Justice Department on the files, telling them, "I am not going to put up with it" while positioning herself as Trump's chief protector during a combative session that lasted more than five hours.

In his post, Trump separately targeted Massie, calling him a "Sanctimonious RINO" and a "loser," and said the Kentucky congressman's job approval numbers were "crashing."

Trump claimed Massie is being crushed in the polls by an opponent he described as "a Military Hero," Ed Gallrein, and compared Massie's standing to that of "Wacky" former Rep. Liz Cheney.

Trump's slams followed Massie's criticism of Bondi's defense of how the Justice Department has handled the release of the files tied to Epstein.

"[Bondi's] defense today is incompetence for why they haven't given us all the documents they should, why they have overredacted in the case of co-conspirators, and why they failed to redact the names of the victims," Massie told reporters after the committee meeting.

Trump also asserted in his post that interest in Epstein only surged because Democrats believed the issue could politically harm him.

Trump said the focus on Epstein was backfiring and urged Democrats to instead focus on border policy and culture-war issues, including transgender rights and women's sports.

Trump's full Truth Social post:

"AG Pam Bondi, under intense fire from the Trump Deranged Radical Left Lunatics, was fantastic at yesterday's Hearing on the never ending saga of Jeffrey Epstein, where the one thing that has been proven conclusively, much to their chagrin, was that President Donald J. Trump has been 100% exonerated of their ridiculous Russia, Russia, Russia type charges.

"Actually, it is the SLIMEBALL Democrats, many of them big Donors and Politicians, that have been proven GUILTY! "Republican" Loser, Sanctimonious RINO Congressman, Thomas Massie, made a total fool of himself yesterday, fighting aimlessly against a hopeless agenda of Hate and Stupidity, as most clearly stated by his crashing Job Approval Numbers in the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky, where a Military Hero Opponent, Ed Gallrein, is crushing him in the Polls.

"He is now in "Wacky" Liz Cheney territory! Nobody cared about Epstein when he was alive, they only cared about him when they thought he could create Political Harm to a very popular President who has brought our Country back from the brink of extinction, and very quickly, at that!

"In fact, this attempt by the Democrats to take away attention from tremendous Republican SUCCESS is backfiring badly. Maybe they should focus on their quest to Open our Borders to the World's Greatest Criminals, have Transgender for Everybody or, get Men, no matter their size or strength, to play in Women's Sports. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP."
