Trump Trolls Taylor Swift After Chiefs' Loss

By    |   Monday, 10 February 2025 10:15 AM EST

President Donald Trump said pop star Taylor Swift suffered a tougher night than her boyfriend and the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans on Sunday.

Trump and Swift were in attendance when the singer's boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce, and the Chiefs were defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX.

"The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!" Trump wrote late Sunday night on Truth Social.

Swift used Instagram in September to say she would vote for then-Vice President Kamala Harris in the Nov. 5 election.

Later that month, an NBC News poll showed that Swift's approval rating among Republicans had dropped precipitously year over year, with nearly half saying they view her negatively after endorsing Harris.

In November 2023, 26% of Republicans viewed Swift negatively but that jumped to 47% in the recent NBC News survey. Also, 12% of Republicans said they had a positive attitude about Swift, down from 28% in 2023.

Trump went on to capture all seven key battleground states to defeat Harris and win a second White House term.
