Seattle FBI Probes Damage to Tesla Charging Station

By    |   Tuesday, 08 April 2025 04:00 PM EDT

The FBI is investigating another alleged case of vandalism on a Tesla charging station, this time near Olympia, Washington, according to local reports.

Reports of a fire followed by an explosion came in early Tuesday in Lacey, Washington, according to Seattle's KOMO-TV.

FBI agents from the Seattle field office joined Lacey Police Department detectives in probing the latest in a rash of attacks on Tesla-based properties and products linked to protests against White House senior adviser Elon Musk, CEO of the electric vehicle giant.

The FBI on March 24 launched a multiagency task force to investigate 50 reported attacks on Tesla vehicles, charging stations, and dealerships.

Musk has drawn the ire of liberals livid with President Donald Trump and supposedly against the Department of Government Efficiency, which the tech entrepreneur has pushed to find outrageous waste and possible fraud throughout the government.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has described the vandalism as domestic terrorism.

"Let this be a warning: If you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars," she said in a statement.
