Israel said a drone strike killed Abd al-Hadi Sabah, who led the massacre on Kibbutz Nir Oz during Iranian-backed Hamas' terrorist attack on Oct. 7, 2023, the Times of Israel reported Tuesday.

Sabah, commander of the Nukhba platoon in Hamas' West Khan Younis Battalion, was killed in the Khan Younis area of the southern Gaza Strip, according to Israel Defense Forces, which added Sabah was among those who led the invasion into Kibbutz Nir Oz in which terrorists kidnapped and murdered dozens of Israelis.

The IDF said the killing of Sabah was part of an operation led by Shin Bet, Israel's internal security agency, to track down and eliminate all of the terrorists who participated in the massacre.

Over the course of Israel's military operation in Gaza, Sabah also participated in numerous attacks against IDF troops, the IDF added.

In addition, the IDF announced it killed Anas Muhammad Masri, commander of the northern sector of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's rocket unit, The Jerusalem Post reported Tuesday.

According to the IDF, Masri was "a significant figure responsible for executing numerous terrorist operations, managing and directing actions by the organization that targeted Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers."

Masri also had been actively commanding rocket fire from northern Gaza into Israel.
