Jill Biden: Melania Declined Tea Invite

First lady Jill Biden said incoming first lady Melania Trump declined her invitation for tea at the White House, The Washington Post reported.

It's customary for first ladies to meet over tea during presidential transitions.

Biden followed up with a handwritten note, delivered to President-elect Donald Trump in December at the reopening of Notre Dame. She said she received no response until Melania Trump thanked her briefly at former President Jimmy Carter's funeral last week.
