VA's Collins Cancels $178,000 Contract With Politico

The Trump administration continues to try to root out what it terms waste, fraud, and abuse from Biden administration holdovers, including what President Donald Trump has called "payoffs" for leftist media outlets.

The latest is a $178,000 Veterans Administration contract with Politico, which new VA Secretary Doug Collins said he has immediately spiked.

"Ran across a $178,000 contract VA had with Politico and we promptly canceled it," Collins posted Monday morning on X. "That money can be better spent on Veterans health care!"

The post got the attention of Department of Government Efficiency chief Elon Musk, who is reviewing ways to reform government departments, including spending and staffing cuts.

"Wow," Musk replied on X to Collins' post. "I recommend looking at all media and software subscriptions for either full cancellation or reduction."

Democrats and some lawyers are suing the Trump administration and have won delays and reviews from "activist" judges in the judiciary, Musk lamented over the weekend.

Musk called for conversations if not direct actions to impeach "corrupt" judges that are seeking to stop or delay DOGE and Trump efforts to root out Democrats' and deep state waste, fraud, and abuse.

"A corrupt judge protecting corruption. He needs to be impeached NOW!" Musk posted early Sunday on X.

"This is an activist posing as a judge," Musk wrote on a Saturday post, rebuking the judge that blocked DOGE from "read only" access in auditing the Treasury Department's payment systems.

"This ruling is absolutely insane! How on Earth are we supposed to stop fraud and waste of taxpayer money without looking at how money is spent? That’s literally impossible! Something super shady is going to protect scammers," Musk also posted Saturday.
