Rep. Biggs to Newsmax: 'Shock and Awe' If Hostages Not Returned

By    |   Tuesday, 11 February 2025 06:08 PM EST

Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., told Newsmax on Tuesday that if Hamas does not release the rest of the hostages held in Gaza by Saturday they will experience "shock and awe" after President Donald Trump warned "all hell is going to break out."

On Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the ceasefire will "be terminated and the IDF will return to intense fighting until Hamas is finally defeated," if the remaining hostages are not returned. Biggs said that "Hamas is not really in a position to accept that."

"I am hoping that they will come to reason and turn over these hostages. But I think that President Trump was on to something there where he said they [Hamas] have maltreated these people so badly that there will be international condemnation against them. So that's why I think they're fighting back. But I really believe … that we're going to see something pretty dramatic if they don't turn over these hostages," Biggs said during an appearance on "Newsline."
