The Biden administration “didn't believe in the word meritocracy” and when “somebody is in charge of important positions and they're not doing the job right, it hurts all Americans,” says Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J.
“This is what America is about. We are colorblind. We don't care what color you are. We don't care if you're Asian. We don't care if you're black. We don't care if you're Hispanic. We don't care if you're Caucasian. We're America. We lead. We're the best,” Van Drew told Newsmax TV’s “Chris Salcedo Show.”
“We want the smartest, the best, the most capable leading. We want those people working for us. We want the most focused. That is what we should be doing. Instead of trying to fill all these slots, worrying about people's pronouns, worrying about their sexual behavior, who cares?” Van Drew said.
“Nobody cares about any of this. We just want the best and where we fall short of the best, it can hurt all of us, regardless of our race, color, or creed.
“When somebody is in charge of important positions and they're not doing the job right, it hurts all Americans. And it's in our military and it's in our educational system, and they've done it to our police force, and they've done it at every level of government,” he added.
