Donald Trump Jr. to Newsmax: Fox News 'Biased' Against Conservatives

By    |   Monday, 06 October 2025 08:03 PM EDT

Donald Trump Jr. slammed Fox News during an interview with Newsmax on Monday, saying the network has lost its way and now panders to establishment elites instead of standing up for conservatives.

The comments came after President Donald Trump criticized Fox News over the weekend for hosting Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., to discuss the government shutdown, calling the network out for giving unchallenged airtime to political opponents while sidelining "America First" voices.

The younger Trump told "The Chris Salcedo Show" that conservatives are constantly at a disadvantage because they play by different rules than the left.

"The conservatives try so hard. They want to show both sides," he said.

"They let someone go unfettered for hours talking about these things without anyone pushing back, without any resistance. They allow them to spew their narrative, which is, as we've seen for the last few years, all lies."

In a Truth Social post Sunday, Trump zeroed in on Fox and White House correspondent Peter Doocy for giving Kelly a platform to push his talking points on healthcare amid the government shutdown.

"Why is Fox News and Peter Doocy putting on Democrat Senator Mark Kelly to talk about, totally unabated or challenged, Healthcare?" Trump wrote.

The president's son said Monday that Fox News has become a "RINO network" — for Republicans In Name Only — that prioritizes acceptance from the political establishment and corporate interests.

"They want to be loved. They just want the power," he said.

"They don't care. It's about clickbait, whereas the left, I mean, they just go full all in no matter what. We're playing different games as always.

"Honestly, I don't watch it anymore because it is so ridiculous. They try so hard to be unbiased that they're actually biased towards conservatives at this point."

The younger Trump also took aim at the network's leadership for what he described as favoritism toward establishment-approved Republican candidates over his father, whom he said Fox News cannot control.

"These are networks that banned me for two and a half years. I'm barely on anymore. I know my father was banned," he said.

"They were giving lap dances to other presidential candidates because they wanted a puppet candidate. They wanted someone that answered only to them and the people at the top. They don't get that with Trump, and they're upset about it."
