If the Department of Homeland Security gets its information from the Department of Defense, the American people should be able to as well regarding the drones that have been flying over New York and New Jersey, state Sen. Jon Bramnick, R-N.J., told Newsmax on Monday.
"Why have we not heard from the Defense Department?" Bramnick asked on "Rob Schmitt Tonight." "Homeland Security gets their information from the Defense Department, so it makes no sense to have a press conference with Homeland Security."
Bramnick argued that the drone issue is the "biggest call by bipartisan elected officials in the history of the country."
"Have you ever seen a time where [Senate Majority Leader Chuck] Schumer and [President-elect Donald] Trump are on the same page? [former New Jersey GOP Gov Chris] Christie and [Democrat New Jersey] Gov. [Phil] Murphy, Democrats and Republicans on the same page?" Bramnick said.
Bramnick added that he had called for a state of emergency and to stop all drones from going into the sky.
"Why is the FAA continuing to allow drones? Are drones that important to our economy that they can't shut down the drones at this time? Makes no sense. Give us the real information, and we'll shut up," Bramnick said.
