Dov Hikind to Newsmax: Trump Will Untie Israel's Hands to Finish Iranian Proxies

By    |   Thursday, 26 December 2024 01:45 PM EST

Americans Against Antisemitism Founder Dov Hikind told Newsmax on Thursday that Israel will be free to dismantle Iranian terror proxy groups like Hamas and the Houthis when President-elect Donald Trump takes office next month.

"Unfortunately, because of the restrictions of the Biden administration, Israel's hands have been tied with regard to really finishing the job with Hamas," Hikind told Newsmax's "National Report." "And that will have to wait for the Trump administration, for President Trump, who has made it very, very clear that he will permit Israel to do what needs to be done, period."

On Saturday, the Houthis said they had hit a "military target" in central Israel's Jaffa area with a ballistic missile. Hikind said that it's only a matter of time before Israel finishes the job of decimating the Yemen-based terror proxy and other Iran-backed groups.

"Look, I guarantee you that the Israelis will finish the job with the Houthis and with Iran in due time, as they've done with Hezbollah, as they're doing with Hamas," he said. "It's all going to end with a great victory for Israel and for the West, because what Israel is doing is very, very important to democracies all over the world. So I don't think there's a dispute in Israel. They are going to do the job. They know what to do. They know how to do it. It is only a question of time."

"Let's be very, very clear: The Biden administration has hindered Israel from doing what it needs to do for a very long period of time regarding Hamas, regarding Iran," he continued. "I mean, why hasn't the United States dealt with the Houthis? We are a powerful country. We have everything in that area. Why haven't we sent a message to the Houthis that would have ended all this? And the reason is because the Biden administration is weak, period."

Hikind also said he doesn't see a deal happening for the hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza in the coming weeks based on what he's hearing from his Israeli sources.

"Hamas will not even provide something so simple [as] who's alive and who's dead," he said. "We don't know for sure how many of the hostages are still alive. Is it 60, 70? 50, 40? I mean, you are dealing with barbarians. So, look, I hope there's some kind of deal, but I don't believe it's going to happen."
