Republicans could be on track to win a Michigan Senate race for the first time since 1994, John Gizzi, senior White House correspondent told Newsmax Monday.
The race between Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., and former Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., is coming down to the wire, Gizzi told “National Report.” The two are running to replace retiring Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich.
While Rogers started out as the underdog, Gizzi said he believes the race is stating to turn toward him.
An internal poll by the Roger campaign showed him leading Slotkin 50% to 48%, Gizzi said.
“Watch this one carefully,” Gizzi said. “Times may be changing.”
