Kevin Sorbo told Newsmax Monday he is laughing at the liberals who are still complaining about Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle ad where she talks about her "great jeans."
"Every day the liberals wake up going, What can I be mad about today?" Sorbo said on "National Report." "What can I be angry about today? It's just kind of funny they have something to complain about all the time every single day."
Sorbo said commercials have always featured beautiful women.
"They put a beautiful girl next to the Ford truck, because who buys the Ford truck? The guys do," Sorbo said. "There's nothing wrong with the ads. People are getting so sick of the 180 degree turn that the commercial world and Hollywood has done in terms of what they want to put [in] movies. They get so upset if they do one thing just a little bit different. I think there's room for both sides of that commercial world."
The "Hercules" star noted that, despite the outcry, American Eagle stock is increasing.
"We are capitalists," Sorbo said. "Even Hollywood and Washington D.C. are capitalists."
As the outcry lingers, Sorbo said he will continue to make movies he wants to make.
"I do movies that Hollywood used to make that have love and hope and faith and redemption," Sorbo said.
