The mental deterioration of President Joe Biden is clear to anyone who is paying attention, Rep. Rich McCormick, R-Ga., told Newsmax on Monday.
"Anybody who has ever seen anybody, a loved one or someone that they know, go through dementia, you see this waxing and waning of their mental acuity," McCormick, a physician and a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said on Newsmax's "Wake Up America." "What we are seeing with this president isn't just a sound bite over the course of several years, we see it almost every single day."
McCormick's comments came a few days after special counsel Robert Hur wrote in a report regarding Biden's possession of classified documents that the president is an "elderly man with a poor memory," raising concerns about Biden's fitness for the presidency.
"It is amazing that they let him run for president of the United States when he cannot remember basic facts, he doesn't know which way to exit a stage, he doesn't know who is behind him, he doesn't know who is beside him, he doesn't know where to walk to go into the White House sometimes," McCormick said.
"It's really embarrassing to watch his physical acuity actually decrease, falling off bikes, falling down stairs, falling off a stage. ... This is something that happens to you when you get older and it's sad, but this is not something you should have in someone who is going to be the most powerful man or woman in the United States."
McCormick said Biden "can't make it another four years," meaning Vice President Kamala Harris could become president, with "the same policies, only a worse leader. Someone who does not need to be senile to lead us in the wrong direction."
