Gorka to Newsmax: Question Reveals Fake News 'Dumber' Than Thought

By    |   Monday, 16 December 2024 09:46 PM EST

President-elect Donald Trump's pick for senior director of counterterrorism, Sebastian Gorka, told Newsmax Monday that one question from mainstream reporters at President-elect Donald Trump's news conference earlier in the day proved just how dumb the "fake news" is.

Speaking with "Rob Schmitt Tonight" on Trump's press conference, Gorka recounted one reporter asking, "'Oh, by the way, are you going to take preemptive action against Iran's nuclear sites?'" To which Trump replied, Gorka said, "'What kind of a moronic question is that?'"

"I mean, just as you know," Gorka continued, "the moment you realize the fake news is dumber than you even thought they were.

"But the best clip of all was he's there with that Japanese CEO [Masayoshi Son of SoftBank Group]. And he does this art of the deal right there. And he says, 'Yeah, we're so happy about the 100 billion you're going to drop on America. Why don't we make it 200 billion? And the CEO goes, 'Yes, you are the arch negotiator.' I mean, is America back or what?!"
