The American people demand disruption, whether it's President-elect Donald Trump or members of his administration, like Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk, former Trump administration aide Sebastian Gorka told Newsmax.
"Americans have spoken very loudly. Eight years ago, when they chose, to the tune of 64 million votes, a man who'd never run for any political position in his life, let alone president, they wanted an outsider. They wanted a disrupter. They didn't want a former senator or congressman or governor or swamp creature," Gorka told Newsmax TV's "Newsline" when asked about Sen. John Fetterman's, D-Pa., message to Democrats loathing the thought of the looming second Trump presidency to "chill out."
"And when we had the election four years ago, he set the historic record for an incumbent with 74 million votes. And just six weeks ago, he broke that record with 77 million votes."
"So maybe, somebody on the Hill should write that number down on a big, big poster board. Seventy-seven million — not just the Electoral College, but the popular vote. That's what the American people demand: disruption. Whether it's the president or whether it's the members of his administration like Vivek and like Elon," he added.
Fetterman on Sunday said the constant "freak out" by Democrats is "not helpful."
"If you're rooting against the president, you are rooting against the nation," Fetterman said. "And I'm not ever going to be where I want a president to fail. So, country first."
"It's become maybe like a cliche … but it happens to be truth."
