A major reason President Trump won the 2024 election is because people believe his will mirrors the will of the majority of "we the people," country music star John Rich told Newsmax Wednesday.
"What a concept," Rich continued.
"And so, we want to see him get his way with the things that he's doing, including with his appointments, which is in hot debate right now with a lot of different people," Rich told "Finnerty." "We see Republicans in the Senate that are saying, Well, I don't know if I want to vote for Pete Hegseth. I don't know, I don't know. And we're all looking at them going, What do you mean, you don't know if you want to vote for Pete Hegseth?"
Rich noted that some of the Republicans, such as Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, was finally persuaded after being "eviscerated on social media for a solid week," and is now saying she will support Hegseth.
"I direct messaged [Texas Republican] Sen. [John] Cornyn and said, 'Senator, are you going to support Pete Hegseth?' I just straight up asked him, and he hit back and he said, 'Yes.' I said, 'Thank you very much,'" Rich continued.
