Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., told Newsmax on Monday that Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President-elect Donald Trump's pick for Secretary of Health & Human Services, Pete Hegseth, Trump's pick for Secretary of Defense, and Tulsi Gabbard, Trump's pick for Director of National Intelligence, would get confirmed after the hearing before the Senate in January.
Scott, during an appearance on "Rob Schmitt Tonight," said of Kennedy, "Oh, he'll be confirmed. I mean, here's a guy that's a serious person. He wants to make sure Americans are healthy. He's willing to say, 'Let's look at something. Let's get the facts. Let's educate Americans about the health of their food, the safety of their vaccines, the safety of their healthcare system.' So I look forward to working with him."
When asked earlier in the interview about Hegseth, Scott also replied with an affirmative: "I think he's a great nominee. I'm glad President Trump chose him, and he's going to be confirmed."
Responding to a clip of former Trump national security adviser, John Bolton, balking at Gabbard as Trump's DNI nominee, Scott added, "I believe she will be confirmed."
