Former New England Patriots cornerback Tyrone Poole told Newsmax on Saturday that the quarterback-coaching tandem of Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid "are like one, two — Batman and Robin."
On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs will look to threepeat as they take on the Philadelphia Eagles at 6:30 p.m. ET from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, a rematch of the 2023 championship. Poole said that the chemistry between the players and the coaching staff is why he favors the Chiefs.
"I'll just go and give you my prediction right now. The Chiefs, I like the Chiefs. It's just Patrick Mahomes Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid. They are the Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, like the one, two — Batman and Robin," Poole said during an appearance on "America Right Now."
Poole, who won two Super Bowls with the Patriots in 2004 and 2005 said despite the Eagles strong running, the edge still goes to Kansas City. "I'm giving Kansas City the edge just because they have had an opportunity to mesh together the longest. You get a feel from them that you can't get if you just know someone for two or three years playing together. They've been around each other for years and years and they can get a feel for one another," Poole added.
