We may never be able identify the precise number of people killed because of the lockdowns and mandates, and we certainly can't quantify how many hopes, dreams, and aspirations were murdered as punishment for refusing a COVID-19 vaccine.

We need a national, blue-ribbon commission that includes respected and independent scientists and scholars to conduct a thorough investigation, concluding with a report on how and why all this happened, while naming all persons responsible.
We must address the mammoth bureaucratic apparatus (formed seemingly overnight) set up to completely control how our society functioned, while attempting to destroy the lives of all who resisted the bizarre and often dangerous medical edicts issued by sanctimonious half-wits.
They created an agoraphobe's fantasy, and a misanthrope's paradise.
As entertaining and tempting as some of the memes on social media may be, this is not about retribution or vengeance.
This commission would serve a far greater purpose, it's task should be to investigate and issue a comprehensive report which will also formally recognize how wrong all of this was, and make sure that it never happens again.
