The Biden administration continues steadfast in its defense of the military pullout from Afghanistan and its global security implications.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken continues to deny that al-Qaida remains a threat in Afghanistan despite evidence to the contrary released by the United Nations and exiled Afghan military and intelligence sources. Newsmax noted last year that the National Security Council pushed talking points to major news outlets claiming that ISIS and al-Qaida no longer threatened the U.S. from Afghanistan despite classified CIA reports to the contrary.
