FDA Faces Heat From GOP Over Abortion Drug Safety

Senate Republicans accused the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of dodging questions about the safety of a chemical abortion drug it approved this year.

Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., and more than a dozen other Republican senators in October demanded to know why the "dangerous" abortion drug was approved without "taking concrete steps to reinstate common sense measures to protect women."
