In exclusive comments to Newsmax, planners of the 2003 invasion of Iraq disputed Tucker Carlson's assertion that Israel pushed the U.S. into its second war with Saddam Hussein.

Carlson, noting that planning for the Iraq invasion began almost immediately after the 9/11 attacks, asserted that Saddam's regime counterbalanced Iran and protected over a million Christians.
