Founding Father John Adams was not a fan of the Fourth of July.

In fact, if he were alive today and you invited him to your Fourth of July celebration, chances are he'd turn you down cold and let you know in no uncertain terms that he and his wife, Abigail, had already celebrated the birth of the nation two days earlier.
