As Mail Crime Surges, Postal Police Want Back in Game

The president of the Postal Police Officers Association blasted post office leadership during a congressional hearing to address skyrocketing postal thefts.

Frank Albergo offered a blistering rebuke of the agency's inspection service's decision in 2020 to "bench" postal police officers [PPOs], saying that the decision is primarily to blame for a massive uptick in postal crime.
