Critics of South Korea's new leftist president said their fears are being confirmed as prosecutors target opposition leaders — including the pastor of the world's largest church — as part of a complex two-year political scandal.

Republic of Korea (ROK) voters elected Lee Jae-myung of the progressive Democratic Party of Korea as president on June 3 in an election marked by allegations of widespread misconduct, according to media reports.
