From the smoldering ashes of California’s ongoing wildfires comes a renewed bipartisan effort to help avoid future tragedies.

Democrats and Republicans on the House Committee on Natural Resources on Jan.16 reintroduced the Fix Our Forests Act, which sailed through the House last fall but stalled in the Senate.
