David Bossie, who served as deputy campaign manager to Donald Trump in 2016 and runs Citizens United, called on Congress to investigate former President Joe Biden's cognitive decline.
In an opinion piece in The Daily Caller, Bossie said new book releases about Biden's mental state have exposed the mainstream media's lies.
"The lunacy that transpired during the 2024 presidential election shouldn't end with just embarrassment and humiliation for Democrats," Bossie wrote. "The American people deserve long overdue truth and accountability."
Bossie called for a bicameral select committee to "provide the American people with some much-needed transparency about exactly what happened."
"This committee should be composed of Republicans and Democrats because the American people are entitled to a thorough investigation with members from both sides of aisle fully participating," Bossie wrote. "The disturbing allegation that President Biden wasn't actually running the country during his tenure in office is a big problem."
Witnesses who should be called, according to Bossie, include the authors of multiple books that highlighted Biden's decline, including reports he failed to recognize George Clooney and that he was "out of it" during debate preparation.
Bossie also believes the highest levels of the Biden administration should be called to testify, including former Vice President Kamala Harris and high-level Cabinet officials.
"Congress must find out if unelected staff members were running the country during Joe Biden's four years in office," Bossie wrote. "Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's non-answer of 'We're looking forward' when asked about the Biden cognitive cover-up will no longer suffice. The American people deserve honesty, and Republicans in Congress must lead the charge to get answers to questions that have been piling up for years."
