Former President Donald Trump said Wednesday the criminal indictments delivered to him by Democrat district attorneys and the Department of Justice are no more than campaign contributions to President Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign.
He said they amounted to attempts at election interference.
"The indictments against me should be viewed as a campaign contribution to Crooked Joe Biden and his radical left thugs," Trump wrote in all caps in a Truth Social post. "This will be their updated form of cheating & election interference. Remember, these are Biden indictments, pure & simple!"
It is a theme Trump has been hammering during his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination and before he first was indicted in April by Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg regarding allegations of hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.
Trump pled not guilty in that case and pled not guilty to two following indictments delivered by DOJ special counsel Jack Smith.
He is expected to be booked in a Georgia jail on Thursday on charges levied by Democratic Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis who says Trump tried to subvert the state’s 2020 election results. Trump has denied wrongdoing in that case.
"Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be Arrested by a Radical Left District Attorney, Fani Willis, who is overseeing one of the greatest Murder and Violent Crime Disasters in American History," Trump posted Tuesday night on Truth Social. "In my case, the trip to Atlanta is not for "Murder," but for making a Perfect Phone Call!
"She campaigned, and is continuing to campaign, and raise money on, this Witch Hunt. This is in strict coordination with Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ. It is all about Election Interference!"
