President-elect Donald Trump on Friday announced the formation of an environmental advisory group and his former consultant and "expert" to lead it in his next administration.
Ed Russo, who served as an environmental consultant to the Trump Organizaton, will head up Trump's Environmental Advisory Task Force.
"I am pleased to announce that Ed Russo, an Environmental Expert, will lead our Environmental Advisory Task Force, which will advise my Administration on initiatives to create great jobs and protect our natural resources, by following my policy of CLEAN AIR and CLEAN WATER. Together, we will achieve American Energy DOMINANCE, rebuild our Economy, and DRILL, BABY, DRILL," Trump said in a post to Truth Social.
Russo, in 2016, wrote a book titled "Donald J. Trump: An Environmental Hero."
Trump nominated former Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., to head up the Environmental Protection Agency.
