Trump Suddenly Spots Nigel Farage at Iowa Rally

By    |   Sunday, 14 January 2024 02:19 PM EST

In a spontaneous moment at Sunday's Indianola, Iowa, campaign rally, former President Donald Trump spotted Brexit founder Nigel Farage in his crowd.

"Is that Nigel Farage, by the way?" Trump said suddenly mid-speech, which aired live on Newsmax and simulcast on the Newsmax2 online streaming platform. "Stand up, will you?

"Just look at this handsome, handsome guy."

Farage is a British conservative who is credited as the architect of the British Brexit movement to move the United Kingdom out of the European Union.

"He's been a backer of mine from Day 1 –– a thing called Brexit, very noncontroversial," Trump joked.

"And you've been right. They haven't implemented too well, but you've been right."

Trump praised Farage's appearance and his dress.

"Now, we're big fans; thank you, Nigel," he said. "Really an honor to have you here. Great. You look great. I love these suits.

"You know, they know how to dress over there. We don't know how to dress like they do. Thank you. Great honor, man."
