Donald Trump Jr. will attend the Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee on Wednesday night despite his father's refusal to participate.
The Daily Caller first reported that Donald Trump Jr. and his wife, Kimberly Guilfoyle, will attend the debate. Guilfoyle was an adviser to then-President Donald Trump in 2020.
The Hill reported the couple will do media appearances to promote their shows on Rumble, and Donald Trump Jr. will act as a surrogate for his father.
"We’re excited to see all of our friends in Milwaukee on Wednesday in support of President Trump. We're confident that in 2024, GOP voters will reject the RINO establishment and re-nominate President Trump in a landslide," Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle said in a statement to the Daily Caller.
Former President Trump on Sunday said he will not be participating in "the debates."
"The public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had, with Energy Independence, Strong Borders & Military, Biggest EVER Tax & Regulation Cuts, No Inflation, Strongest Economy in History, & much more. I WILL THEREFORE NOT BE DOING THE DEBATES!" Trump said in a statement on his social media platform Truth Social.
Trump reportedly is planning to release a pre-taped interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson on the night of the debate.
