Vance to Gov. Newsom on Riots: 'The Problem Is You'

Vice President JD Vance called out Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom on Tuesday over his multiple attempts to deflect blame for the ongoing southern California riots to President Donald Trump and his administration.

On Monday, Newsom posted, "Do YOUR job. We didn't have a problem until Trump got involved. Rescind the order. Return control to California," in response to an earlier post from Vance demanding that Newsom take control of the situation.

Vance posted photos of an assault on a Border Patrol vehicle and a flaming car, both of which occurred before Trump announced his involvement. "Gavin Newsom says he didn't have a problem until Trump got involved. Both of these photos were taken before the president authorized the National Guard to go protect our Border Patrol in California. Does this look like 'no problem'?" Vance wrote.

What began as an aggressive protest against Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in Los Angeles over the weekend rapidly descended into a full-scale riot that has now entered its fifth day. To quell the violence and restore order to the affected parts of Los Angeles, Trump has activated nearly 2,100 National Guard troops.

Newsom and his fellow Democrats in The Golden State have since engaged in a nearly nonstop blame game for the violent protesters that will now have to face nearly 1,000 U.S. Marines. On Tuesday, Trump announced he will be sending 700 Marines with the 2^nd Battalion, 7^th Marines Division from nearby Twentynine Palms to assist the Guard in dealing with the more violent offenders. Vance labeled LA Mayor Karen Bass a "stooge" and said the entire Democrat movement is to "promote mass migration into our country."

"It is their reason for being. Democratic leadership has no solution for the economy, for prosperity or for security. They use their power when they're in the majority to import millions of illegal immigrants, and when they're in opposition, they do everything possible to prevent deportations," Vance continued.

Newsom, meanwhile, called the Marine deployment unnecessary and Trump's actions "the deranged fantasy of a dictatorial president."

Vance ended his post by once again saying it has been the "mass migration" policies of Democrats such as Newsom that created the chaos now unfolding in Los Angeles.

"You sure as hell had a problem before President Trump came along. The problem is YOU," Vance concluded.
