Trump Inks Memo to Bar Illegal Migrants From Social Security

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed a memorandum aimed at stopping illegal immigrants and other ineligible people from obtaining Social Security Act benefits, the White House said.

Some workers who have entered the U.S. illegally obtain jobs by using fake or borrowed Social Security numbers and pay into Social Security, but are not eligible to receive Social Security benefits under current law.
