The National Republican Congressional Committee raised more in the second quarter of 2025 than its across-the-aisle counterpart, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
The NRCC pulled in $32.3 million in the second quarter, while the DCCC brought in $29.1 million in the same period. The year-to-date funding hauls show a similar gap, with the House GOP campaign arm having raised $69 million so far in 2025 and the House Democrat campaign arm having raked in $66 million.
"While House Republicans build a historical war chest to grow the majority, House Democrats are broke, divided, and hijacked by socialists," Mike Marinella, spokesman for the NRCC, said in a statement. "Donors are slamming the brakes because they know this party is pathetic, aimless, and has no chance of taking back the majority."
The NRCC's fundraising total for the second quarter is a milestone for the organization, which typically takes a backseat to its Democrat counterpart. It's the first time since 2021 that the NRCC outraised the DCCC in the first six months of an election cycle, with the GOP committee calling it "a five-alarm fire for House Democrats" in a release.
In a statement of its own, the DCCC said it has "the better message, stronger candidates, and necessary resources" to wrest control of the House from Republicans in next year's midterm elections.
"Republicans are running scared because they know they are poised to be rejected by the American people next year," DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene, D-Wash., said. "Their support for the 'big, ugly law' is going to cost them the House Majority. It fails to lower costs for everyday Americans and instead rips healthcare away from millions, threatens funding for rural hospitals, and will lead to higher energy bills – all to pay for tax breaks for the wealthiest few. It's no surprise that it's the least popular piece of legislation of the 21st century."
The DCCC reported having $39.7 million in cash-on-hand, while the NRCC trails with $37.6 million in the bank.
The House fundraising numbers come as the Republican National Committee reported raising $96.4 million in the first six months of the year, with $80.78 million in cash-on-hand. In the same period, the Democratic National Committee reported raising $69.2 million and having $15.22 million in cash-on-hand.
