Wednesday, 11 June 2025 12:36 PM EDT

The Pentagon has launched a review of the 2021 AUKUS submarine deal with the United Kingdom and Australia to determine if the United States should scrap the project, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday.

The review is being led by Elbridge Colby, a top defense department official who previously expressed skepticism about AUKUS, the report said, citing six people familiar with the matter.

Reuters could not immediately confirm the report.
