President Donald Trump on Thursday morning said Congress' reconciliation bill "is coming along really well."
Trump took to his social media platform hours after House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., canceled a vote Wednesday night on a Senate budget proposal, as many Republicans were concerned that proposed spending cuts didn't go deep enough, and the measure was likely to fail.
Still, the president began his daily commenting with encouraging news.
"Great News! 'The Big, Beautiful Bill' is coming along really well. Republicans are working together nicely. Biggest Tax Cuts in USA History!!! Getting close. DJT'" Trump posted on Truth Social.
Trump on Wednesday again urged Congress to pass "one big, beautiful" reconciliation bill to secure federal spending and tax cuts.
"Republicans, it is more important now, than ever, that we pass THE ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL. The USA will Soar like never before!!!" Trump posted on Truth Social.
