A spokesman for Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, confirmed Friday that the vice president-elect underwent "long-planned" minor surgery on his sinuses.
Vance had the surgery Friday afternoon at George Washington Hospital, William Martin confirmed to Fox News.
"The vice president-elect is having long-planned, minor sinus surgery and will be back at work tomorrow," Martin told the outlet on Friday.
Vance was on Capitol Hill prior to the procedure as outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris swore in new senators.
"I was proud to stand with @berniemoreno and @DaveMcCormickPA as they were sworn in to the US Senate. Congrats to them and to all of our new senators!" Vance said in a post to X.
