President Donald Trump has become "the hunter" in his second term in office, a colorful meme posted by the White House declared Tuesday.
The post on X, showing Trump surrounded by American flags, eagles, and fireworks, declares "I was the hunted, now I am the hunter," with the post itself reading "they came after the wrong man."
The artwork was created based on remarks he made in June while construction workers installed a nearly 100-foot-high flagpole on the White House South Lawn.
At the time, according to a video posted by the Rapid Response 47 team, when a reporter asked him what gave him the idea to post the flag pole, Trump said he'd had the idea for "a long time."
"The first time I had it, you know, you guys [the media] were after me, and I said 'I had to focus.'"
But, he added about his first term, "I was the hunted, and now, I'm the hunter. It's a big difference."
The White House post comes after the administration went after former President Barack Obama's White House, with Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard releasing files the administration says prove that the former president and his intelligence community unleashed the Russia investigation against Trump after he defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016.
The report has been turned over to the Department of Justice for further investigation.
He has also filed a $10 billion lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal, after its story claiming that he'd sent a risque birthday letter to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
On Monday, he barred one of the outlet's reporters from Air Force One for a Scotland trip.
The week also saw CBS end its "Late Night With Stephen Colbert" program after the host ridiculed the settlement the network reached with Trump in his lawsuit on the "60 Minutes" interview with last year's Democratic Party nominee Kamala Harris.
The network, which will not renew the program after next May, said its decision was made for financial reasons.
Trump, since his inauguration, has also signed 170 executive orders, targeting many of the agenda items he vowed to fight back against while he was running for office.
