White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett on Wednesday said President Donald Trump's administration would work with the Republican-controlled Congress to implement policies addressing the U.S. economy through the reconciliation process.
Hassett, speaking to the Economic Club of Washington, said he would like to see steeper rate cuts by the Federal Reserve but expected the U.S. central bank to make a 25 basis point cut, not 50 basis points.
The administration is also looking at a range of options to address housing to allow more Americans to buy homes, he added.
