Sergio Gor, the head of presidential personnel, is being touted for his record-setting pace in filling out the Trump administration and fulfilling President Donald Trump's vision of running government like a business, the New York Post reported.
The Presidential Personnel Office under Gor has sent 277 nominations to the Senate in two months, breaking the record of former President Barack Obama, who reached that number on day 150 in office, according to the report.
Also, Trump last week touted the more than 2,200 offers made and accepted "to exceptionally qualified candidates."
"We are moving at an incredible pace with some of our agencies 70%, 80%, and even 90% filled: An unheard of number in previous administrations," Gor, a key adviser to the president, told the Post. "We have not only maximized the speed and efficiency of our personnel selection process, but we have also recruited the most talented bench of nominees in Republican presidential history."
Gor said 1,800 appointees are already at work.
"My Administration is breaking all modern Presidential Staffing Records since taking Office on January 20th," Trump said in a post to Truth Social on Friday. "We have sent more Nominations to the Senate than anyone ever before, and will continue to hire America First Patriots as we work together to unleash our Nation’s, Golden Age!"
