Actor and former supermodel Dayle Haddon has died aged 76 from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
Responding to a 911 call Friday, Solebury Township Police arrived at the home of Haddon's son-in-law, Hallmark star Marc Blucas, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, at around 6:30 a.m. local time, People reported, citing a police representative.
They discovered a 76-year-old man, later revealed as Walter Blucas, unconscious on the first floor of the home. He was immediately taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., where he is receiving medical attention.
A woman was found dead in a second-floor bedroom. Eliot Gross, the deputy coroner of Bucks County, later confirmed to USA Today that the woman was Haddon. He noted that a toxicology report is currently being conducted to determine the official cause of death.
Family members who were in the main house on the property remained unharmed by the suspected carbon monoxide leak, but two medics were transported to a local hospital for carbon monoxide exposure and one police officer was treated at the scene.
"The investigation indicates a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system caused the carbon monoxide leak," police said in a statement. "The officers and members of the Solebury Township Police Department wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Haddon and Blucas families."
Haddon established her career by signing major endorsement deals with top cosmetic brands like Revlon, Max Factor, Estée Lauder, and L'Oréal.
She gained widespread recognition by appearing on the cover of the 1973 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue and starred in films such as Disney's "The World's Greatest Athlete" and "North Dallas Forty" alongside Nick Nolte.
Haddon, who authored "Ageless Beauty" and "The 5 Principles of Ageless Living," had also been featured on the covers of Vogue, Elle, and Cosmopolitan.
"A pure heart. A rich inner life," her daughter Ryan Haddon wrote on Instagram. "Touching so many lives. A life well lived. Rest in Light, Mom."
