Wedding bells and a second celebration of love found New York Knicks player Amar’e Stoudemire and the mother of his four children, Alexis Welch, this weekend.
Although the couple officially married in December 2012, they wanted to hold a celebration with family and friends, and
they did just that in Miami on Saturday, Us Weekly reported exclusively.
One guest told the magazine it was a “fairytale” reception, which was held at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. The couples’ children were in the ceremony.

Us Weekly reported that Oprah Winfrey’s event planner, Colin Cowie, was responsible along with his team for the elegant event. The bride had six bridesmaids, and the groom had 11 groomsmen.
The couple got engaged in France in summer 2012 in a proposal that had sports fans calling the basketball star “romantic.”
Stoudemire later told the New York Post, “I am so honored to be marrying by best friend. I am so happy she said yes, and now we can continue to build our life together as husband and wife.”
In the midst of wedding planning, Stoudemire made the news as
he joined in talks in an attempt to buy an Israeli basketball club, according to CBSNews.com.
June 27, Stoudemire tweeted about his excitement in being part of the new venture.
