Ariana Grande has dismissed speculation of a 2025 tour, saying that she would not be hitting the road "anytime soon."
Rumors began circulating online last weekend however, the Grammy-winning music icon dashed her fans' hopes in a statement posted on social media.
"There are no plans for a tour next year, but Ariana remains deeply appreciative of her fans and all the continued love, support and excitement," the post read.
The "Wicked" star elaborated on her decision in an interview with Variety published Tuesday.
"I feel so grateful to the acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don't see it coming anytime soon," she said. "I think the next few years, hopefully we'll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now. I am appreciative for [my fans'] understanding. I'm so grateful for the ways in which we've grown together over this whole journey with 'Wicked.' But music will always be a part of my life."
In a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight, Grande spoke about earning her first Golden Globe nomination, along with nods for fellow 2000s TV stars Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus.
Starting out on Nickelodeon and Disney Channel shows, the three women have now achieved recognition in different categories. Grande and Gomez are both up for best supporting actress in 2025 for their roles in "Wicked" and "Emilia Pérez," while Cyrus' song "Beautiful That Way" from "The Last Showgirl" is a contender for best original song.
"It's incredibly special," Grande said of Gomez and Cyrus, according to Billboard. "I love those girls, and to grow up with the world watching, and then to have your work be recognized in this way, it makes me so happy. I love those girls so much. I've always loved their work. Just to see them grow is so beautiful."
