Morgan Wallen's music is being pulled off radio after he was caught on camera hurling a racial slur around during a night out in Nashville. Cumulus Media, the parent company to over 400 radio stations, sent out an urgent directive to its program directors on Tuesday ordering them to yank Wallen's music from their playlists.

"Team, unfortunately country music star Morgan Wallen was captured on video Sunday evening using a racial slur," the notice read, according to Variety. "Effective immediately we request that all of Morgan Wallen’s music be removed from our playlists without exception. More to follow."

Wallen made headlines on Tuesday after TMZ released footage of him yelling profanities and using a racial slur after returning home with his friends from a night out on the town. A neighbor was able to capture the scene on video.

Shortly after the leaked video, Wallen issued an apology for the "unacceptable" remark.

"I’m embarrassed and sorry," Wallen said in a statement, per The Tennessean. "I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”

According to one source in country radio, Wallen "appears in virtually every half-hour of music across 4000 stations across America right now."

It seems as if Cumulus Media is not the only one taking action. According to Variety, DSPs removed the country star's photos and tracklistings from the home page of Apple Music Country. His songs did not appear in Spotify’s list of 50 top Hot Country songs either.
