A new report has revealed just how much Taylor Swift awarded her Eras Tour crew in bonuses.
With the tour having wrapped up over the weekend, the numbers have been pouring in. The New York Times recently confirmed that the tour raked in over $2 billion in ticket sales, and People is reporting that the pop icon gave out $197 million in bonuses across everyone working on her tour — including truck drivers, caterers, instrument techs, merch team, lighting, sound, production staff and assistants, carpenters, dancers, band, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics, riggers, hair, makeup, wardrobe, physical therapists, and her video team.
The Grammy-winning artist launched her global tour in March 2023, celebrating both past and current albums. She performed her final show on Sunday at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver. Addressing the crowd, Swift shared her appreciation for fans and concertgoers.
"We have toured the entire world," she said, according to People. "We have had so many adventures. It has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, most challenging thing I've ever done in my entire life."
Later, taking her final bow, Swift added, "I want to thank every single one of you for being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my entire life to date — my beloved Eras Tour."
Following her 149th and final performance, Swift's production company, Taylor Swift Touring, confirmed to The New York Times that the Eras Tour had drawn an audience of 10,168,008 people. Further, the tour generated a record-breaking $2,077,618,725 in ticket sales, making it the highest-grossing tour ever, earning double the revenue of any previous concert tour in history.
Swift achieved another milestone this year with "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book," which sold 814,000 copies in its first two days available, marking it as the year's most successful book launch. Additionally, Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music all reported Swift as the top-streamed artist of 2024, while her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, became the most-streamed album of the year.
